The F3Q multi-axis load cell is engineered from durable stainless steel and built to perform in rigorous measurement environments. Its dual-flange design ensures reliable and adaptable installation across various system setups. Encased in a welded bellows housing, the sensor boasts an IP67 rating, offering excellent protection against dust, water, and harsh operating conditions. However, the welding process can introduce residual stresses, which may lead to minor zero-point drift and Z-axis creep—factors to consider in ultra-precision applications. This triaxial force sensor is available in four capacity ranges—5kg, 10kg, 20kg, and 50kg—and can measure forces along the X, Y, and Z axes simultaneously, in both tension and compression modes. This capability removes the need for complex vector computations, providing immediate, accurate, and highly repeatable force readings.
For seamless integration into control systems, the F3Q supports a variety of signal outputs. It is compatible with analog amplifiers offering ±5V, 0-10V, or 4-20mA, as well as digital amplifiers featuring RS485 or RS232 communication interfaces. This flexibility makes it ideal for integration into PLCs, data acquisition systems, or customized setups. 3-axis force load cell F3Q measures forces simultaneously in 3 mutually perpendicular axes: X, Y, and Z – tension and compression. Each axis provides a full bridge output proportional to the applied force and requires no mathematical manipulation. The acting force causes deformation of the elastomer, the bonded strain gauge deforms accordingly which will cause the resistance change of the wheatstone bridge, under constant power supply, the output signal between Sig+ and Sig- will change proportionally, thus the load/force can be measured by measuring the output signal from the transducer.
Load cell output: = (Power supply * Rated output) * Load / Capacity
Rated output of triaxial force sensor F3Q is around 1.0mV/V.
Power supply of 3-axis load cell F3Q is normally within 3-12V.
Load / Capacity is within 0-1.
So the output range of Multi-axis Force Sensor F3Q is normally within -12mV...+12mV for bidirectional force measurement in each axis.
Example: Multi axis load cell F3Q-50kg with 1.0mV/V sensitivity powered by 10V DC, the output range is -10mV...+10mV.
A multi-channel signal conditioner can be used with 3D transducer F3N to deliver -5~5V, 0-10V or 4-20mA output.
Example: 3D load cell F3Q-10kg working with LC3A(-10-10V)-24V amplifier, the Force-Voltage relationship in each axis will be 0-10kgf load in Fx+/Fy+/Fz+ direction VS 0-10V output, 0-10kgf load in Fx-/Fy-/Fz- direction VS 0-(-10V) output, which is linear regardless of the measurement error.
